The Vampyre Cloak - A Life Cycle: Here we see how a Newborn Vampyre's Cloak starts as a spore and develops into a full blown adult Cloak - a metamorphic symbiont that attaches and detaches from its host. It is the Vampyre's living swiss army knife, able to transform rapidly from anything its master dictates telepathically: clothing, armor, weapons, and most importantly, wings for flight. It is only the Vampyre's imagination that limits what it can do. In the first year as a Newborn Vampyre, a mandatory one year training is required to master their Cloak and hone their skills to maximize their symbiont's full potential.

Wing Dynamics of an attached Cloak: When the Cloak has assimilated sufficient biomass from its natural prey, it is able to attach to its host Vampyre, reshape into a pair of retractable wings which enables its host sustained, active flight. When detached, the Cloak is able to mimic any animal or inanimate object of equal size, in order to blend in with its environment. Equally important is the Cloak's ability to form the iconic collar which serves as an auditory organ for echolocation and perfect night vision. With training and experience, the host Vampyre can communicate with its Cloak telepathically and command it,

The Shifter Race: The Aswang: As the original race guarding the Source, the Aswang is the last armada of clans and tribes standing against growing force of the Semperos Empire of the Vampyres. Unlike the puritan, unchanging physiology of Vampyres. Shifters use their own more developed Cloaks to assimilate the genetics and therefore the physiology of an imprinting animal - usually one that their clan or tribe reveres or worships. For example, the Lycanthropic Tribe worships the wolf - their Cloaks have evolved to use the genetics of wolves enabling them to adopt the animal's characteristics, abilities, and appearance.

The Source of Immortality: Contrary to common belief, Vampyres CANNOT sustain immortality on their own. Each year, they must be injected by blood coming from the Source, an ancient creature whose blood creates LAZARUSIAN PARTICLES - individually sentient micro-particles which rapidly repairs tissue damage caused by aging at a cellular level. Without these annual innoculations, the Vampyre will age and eventually die. The Source is the only known creature with this ability, making it the most coveted asset of the Semperos Empire - allowing a single family control over their subjects. But one day, it disappears...
