Sarah is a shut-in, no family to speak of, she works from home as an artist of warped photography, disturbing images; the artistic vision of a tortured soul who has never truly been tortured. The pizza delivery guy drugs her. The drug keeps her lucid but weakens all of her muscles; she has no strength to fight back and is only able to speak in a whisper. He has been watching her for a long time, waiting for the right moment to make his move. Now trapped in a drug induced stupor Sarah must survive his insanity long enough to make her escape. Kevin Grubbe
Director, Writer
I have loved making films since high school, though my focus has mainly been in writing. This is my first foray into the world of movies as a director, but what I lack in experience, I feel I make up for in vision. As an accomplished author my stories are unique and innovative; Doll Face is no exception; It promises to be a creepy thrill ride for years to come.
Jayce Sixx
Producer, Technical Director
I have been interested in writing for most of my life. I have a variety of mechanical and technical skills that have already come in handy during the filming of the trailer. Check out that syringe, made it in ten minutes.
Eric Bastelak
Producer, Actor
I am an actor who believes that true acting involves getting into the mind of your character.
I can't even bring myself to watch this based on the heading.

With the right crew this movie idea has potential
Tyler S. Posted 6 months ago
This isn't a horror genre. its just creepy, and not in a good way.
Semantha M. Posted 6 months ago
idk...kind of creepy
Alan N. Posted 6 months ago
good job. not my kind of film.
Joslyn P. Posted 7 months ago
The ending kind of ruined it for me. The eating scene was poorly done I think but it was interesting. I kind of thought she wouldn't react the way she did being drugged and all sometimes but it was okay
Evan B. Posted 7 months ago
Frankly, I just don't get this. I only was able to tell the victim was drugged due to the synopsis. Not sure how this concept could be expanded into a feature length.
Cat F. Posted 7 months ago
Really creepy, but couldn't see the storyline from the trailer...
Nikki S. Posted 7 months ago
Points for creepiness but I generally found this unappealing.
Dimas T. Posted 7 months ago
good luck
Diane N. Posted 7 months ago
next time the pizza delivery guy comes to my door, i'll think of your movie
Kathy S. Posted 7 months ago
Ok this is bad!!
cenzi b. Posted 7 months ago
the trailer does nothing for the story line and the dialogue was poor
Genevieve H. Posted 7 months ago
I dont know ...... maybe?
Bella M. Posted 7 months ago
LOVE IT
Paula B. Posted 7 months ago
Really creepy/cool idea. It spooked me but I didn't think that the performances were very committed.
Bill R. Posted 7 months ago
Sorry, but this just does not work for me.
Colin T. Posted 7 months ago
I'm sorry this just isn't for me

An interesting concept. I'd like to see the whole picture to see what happens.
Paul N. Posted 7 months ago
looks like a school project
Matt L. Posted 7 months ago
could be an intriguing film
Lisa R. Posted 7 months ago
oh god that was strange
Karen D. Posted 7 months ago
I think this looks interesting
Lindsey M. Posted 7 months ago
This is actually a very original premise and something that could be developed into a very dramatic horror. Some stylistic changes could take this to another level. Excited to see how this develops.
Alex S. Posted 7 months ago
The style is not really my cup 'o tea, and the production value low. And without reading the description I wouldn't have really understood what this is supposed to be about.
Teresa S. Posted 7 months ago
Not an original script. Same story was done on Criminal Minds just a few months ago. Filming very amateur.
Amanda S. Posted 7 months ago
This is a very thrilling story I can't wait til it's made. Good luck I love it
Donal O. Posted 7 months ago
Congratulations guys. This is the first review I've ever changed and the first rating I've ever upgraded.I love the way your minds work and I think that you can do a great job with this movie. Your're in my top 10 for sure.
I originally rated you as a 6 but after seeing your missions, especially the first one, I know you're better than some of the weak points in the trailer.
This is a nightmarish movie and it left me shuddering. It feels like Stephen King's "Misery" but with "Saw" overtones. The music set the tone and I'm still pretty unsettled almost 30 minutes later. Well done.
I hope you do well.
Michelle S. Posted 7 months ago
did not seem put together well
Debbie P. Posted 7 months ago
This is a film to give one nightmares for a lifetime! Perverse and unaesthetic.
Nykki S. Posted 7 months ago
Awesome ! Looks creepy and great !!
Yvonne L. Posted 7 months ago
Mmmmm....weird.
Billie T. Posted 7 months ago
I love a creepy story...not sure if I get this though.
Michael M. Posted 7 months ago
I'm not scared.
Meagan H. Posted 7 months ago
What is a "twisted manifestation of a woman's artistic vision"? This was uncomfortable and not, probably, in the way you wanted it...
Gill R. Posted 7 months ago
Sorry, this just couldn't keep my attention despite being 2 minutes long. The acting was just far too amateur compared to most of the other trailers that I've watched, and the text inserts looked like the editor hadn't even tried to find a good font.
Jake C. Posted 7 months ago
Topic not bad, terrible execution.
daniella c. Posted 7 months ago
Did not like the concept and did not seem put together well
Chelsea B. Posted 7 months ago
Presentation is disturbing, sorry.
david p. Posted 7 months ago

John K. Posted 7 months ago
Bit weak. Sorry
Danny L. Posted 7 months ago
Maybe this should be an episode on Criminal Minds
Roy H. Posted 7 months ago
Not so much
Skye B. Posted 7 months ago
I really like this concept!
Jac r. Posted 7 months ago
Ew. this makes me feel bad inside. deep inside. and not in a michael hanneke sort of way.
Kaya C. Posted 7 months ago
creepy and creative!
Richmain Y. Posted 8 months ago
it was ok but not the great
Lisa M. Posted 8 months ago
The concept was very clear, so that was good. The onscreen text followed by live action scene became repetitive by the third go around, so I would have recommended less repetitions. Careful casting would be important if you get to make the feature.
Katie T. Posted 8 months ago
Made me cringe and not in a good way.
Erin C. Posted 8 months ago
I would probably skip this one ....
Arsen O. Posted 8 months ago
1 mill for this?
Deryck D. Posted 8 months ago
good but chesse
David B. Posted 8 months ago
Very bizarre! I like bizarre but it defiantly could have been shot better. I'm interested in seeing how you progress!!
Layla C. Posted 8 months ago
I didn't think it visually looked good. Could've been shot better. But it's definitely an interesting concept and think the idea has great potential. Definitely seems like a movie that would freak me out!
Daniel W. Posted 8 months ago
This makes me want to weep openly for the future of Canadian cinema.
Mike L. Posted 8 months ago
Very slowwwwwwwww
Kim B. Posted 8 months ago
The concept is Great ! I can picture a story line based on the concept for sure ! Sarah is a very attractive girl so Im not sure why the "bad" guy dressed her like a little girl doll instead of emphasising and cashing in on her beauty. I understand the doll face make up and hair, but seems to me sexy sells and a Barbie doll evening date dress with the dolly make up and hair might work for your initial fan grab intrest faze then add other outfits as his crazy personality and desires come out? Also to counter act that I would have had the guy say "Hey Sarah" not "good evening"...bit corny and he looks like a regular average guy..he needs that scarey eye glint or creepy loner difference in his clothing or even make him dressed sexier as well, but there has to be connection as to why she would let him in. Feels sorry for the loner? Slightly attracted to him, or even just getting her pizza ( I didn't see the pizza) I have seen a few comments on the nail pulling scene and tears down the cheeks the head lolling to one side if she is drugged and maybe even blood from biting her lip in fear cause she cant really move would be effective with wimpering escalating then blacking the trailer out to a scream would have left us wondering and wanting...flash to the same end you chose with the pretty woman being dragged to who knows what fate. That end was great. only other thing is the flashes between titles should have been faster like glimpses and door slamming noises. All in all it makes the imagination active and is very intriguing and I really think you guys have a shot. I have watched several other trailers and sorry for the long review but like I said...the concept is great so wanted share some of the visuals I had...GOOD LUCK !
Angela P. Posted 8 months ago
It is pretty creepy! I'll give it that! Its the concept that I like.
Jenna H. Posted 8 months ago
Sorry I don't think it's worth $1 million but don't give up!
Simon V. Posted 8 months ago
Am I wrong or am I really seeing alot of Patrick Senecal influences in this? (5150 rue des ormes, alice, hell.com) Pretty good but a little too cringy for my tastes.. Still giving you guys a 7 tho.. It's good 'nuff ;)
Sara B. Posted 8 months ago
Good luck!
Patti D. Posted 8 months ago
Not willing to pay to sit through a misogyny fest.
Alex K. Posted 8 months ago
Fantastic! 10/10!!
KingPin L. Posted 8 months ago
A really great effort considering the low budget. What's important is that you guys got your story idea across. By the end, I knew exactly what kind of story you want to tell. That's the purpose of a concept trailer.
Angus K. Posted 8 months ago
For what it's worth. You need to build the suspense better but the concept could grow wings with the right massaging. I hope this helps.
Travis B. Posted 8 months ago
I'm sorry but you guys missed the mark. Sound was terrible. Editing was very choppy, no rhythm or style. Acting was bad, when she got her nail ripped out it made me chuckle. Really not trying to rip on you, just honest feedback. It's an interesting concept, could be really creepy. And I actually really like the creepy kids music.
Kevin G. Posted 8 months ago
Thanks to everyone who rated and will rate our film,; however, if you are going to rate us low, please provide a comment so that we have a chance to improve ourselves on this and the many other projects we have planned.
Our budget was limited, the adr did suck (my first attempt ever and without proper gear) and the location is not final. Even the cast may change by the time we reach production. We are simply trying to give you an basic outline of the proposed movie. We shot DollFace with a camcorder, a worklight, and whatever props and locales we could get for free. Feedback was much appreciated though, thank you.
We hope to improve as we progress through the accelerator, thank you once again to everyone for the constructive criticism and support!
Rose L. Posted 8 months ago
Very creepy trailer. Great job. We sincerely wish you the best with your film.
Sean B. Posted 8 months ago
Probably worth 1 mill.
Jenn R. Posted 8 months ago
Keep up the good work. Want to see this produced
Donald Y. Posted 8 months ago
I want to support the projects from the suburbs, and this seems as suburbs as any. Like a student film, this misses the objective of being a movie people want to see. I encourage people to do the personal creative projects, but this is not a professional feature film. It's an amateur project and it would be great to see it as a movie, as a credit to the talent of the makers, cast and crew.
Angela C. Posted 8 months ago
Seriously? Oh dear...
Kevin P. Posted 8 months ago
Like I say to everyone on this site. GET BETTER SOUND. I'm really blown away that none of you care about this issue! Watch this to see bad examples of bad location sound, bad (Non inspired) music and terrible ADR.
Amanda S. Posted 8 months ago
Very chilling and interesting

Twisted. Eerie. BRILLIANT!!!!! Sent chills down my spine.

Absolutely amazing you should all be very proud of this creation :D
