Overview

Synopsis

A man and his beloved .45 stalk the mythical American West, with its wide sky, a wind that dries the soul, a rocky spine under a cruel sun, and dead-end towns littering the landscape.

A waitress in one of those towns tells us that someday the man in her dreams will find her - just after that the man and his gun walk into her roadside diner. But this man is a killer, his victims a seemingly random collection of American clichés. And she seems too in love with him to suspect.

But when he gives up his gun for her, we think that maybe he means it, that maybe she is safe, that as they drive off into the proverbial sunset, we could be forgiven for hoping that love can still redeem the world.

Well shot trailer. Story line is enticing in the fact that the Trailer does not give the whole story away up front leaving you with the aniticipation of which direction it acutally takes. Great actors and visually appealing.

This project is interesting but the trailer is slow and does not grab attention adequately to sustain interest. Even his entry to the bathroom with the gun behind his back did little to spark suspense as it is clear from the outset that the girl would not die so soon into the movie. I wish we understood a little more of her motivation in the trailer to add more interest. It is still a movie I think i would like to see.

Hm. Interested, but not sure the genre you listed this film as is captured in this trailer. The fart bit made it seem like you were going for parody and not thriller... but maybe that's the line you are looking to walk, which could also be a refreshing change from the usual boy-stalks-girl story.

This trailer confused me at first; it was a hodgepodge of different clips put together until about the half way mark when it all came together. I began to understand that the plot seems to be about decisions of a psychopathic killer. Then she farted in the tub, and that was the weirdest thing I have ever seen. I just hope you weren’t trying to be funny with that one because it was just beyond weird. Fall definitely knows cinematography, the time-lapse shots are impressive and I’m really glad you included them color grading of the “daydreams” was gorgeous and the tub scene was just weird. Overall the trailer kept me interesting, why did you include the tub scene, however the ending could have been more powerful than “Once upon a time I fell in love” because you lost it after the tub scene.
Leanne's Photo

I would of liked a shot of how they met. Maybe her desperation to meet someone which would help audience understand why she would be drawn to not very nice man. I don't really get the significance of the fart. Seem like an odd couple. He's a bit serious and she is a bit childlike. I didn't find either character interesting. The movie synopsis makes me want to watch more then the trailer does. Great job shooting, the scenes are well done, the action shots well done, acting very good.

This trailer has some wonderful cinematography and a great use of timing. I love how it flips from one aspect of the character's life to his current reality and even how he can imagine how he SHOULD respond to his current situation, then love seems to hit him by surprise. The actors here seem top notch and so does the directing. The reason for my low rating is that I found this to be a really good scene from a movie, but not so much a trailer. I could see this as a great "teaser" but as a promotion for a film that I know nothing about, I don't think it's as well developed as it could be.

One of the most marketable stories is the redemption story. This has some 50 shades of grey" running through the plot. The unfeeling bad guy saved by love.

This team and plot have a lot of potential. More than shines through in the trailers. The writing seems to be pretty good and the filming great.

The timing is really bad on this. While it may be a suitable concept, by talented filmmakers, it surely has to be poor timing with all the death & violence in Boston. And the theatre owners are asking for more PG-13 in Las Vegas. Last year's concept could be this year's disaster.

The synopsis provides a subtle hint regarding the direction of this (possibly) tragic story.
Hoping for the unobtainable is sometimes the most seductive form of hope.

It is a rare and therefore precious thing to find a story that challenges ones expectations. It is clear that The Fall is a film that would share something unique and strangely beautiful to an audience that its creators clearly respect. A very intriguing query as to why and what on earth the women sees in the trigger happy nut job.
From the trailer alone, very unique cinematography, transitions and use of dialogue.
No explosions, witty one-liners, or the convenience of overdone special effects. This movie knows what it is and wants to show itself as- A dark, engaging and subtle story and looks like a good one at that. It seems that it also doesn't' look like it shy's to far from a bit of humor. The Cohen brothers would be proud :)

Playing around with the idea of clichés in romances, this movie has the potential to be a visual and mental delight. The simplicity and repetition of the few lines that were presented in the trailer, reinforced with captivating usage of camera angles and flashy transitions presented a story that is mysterious and alluring. I would love to see this movie funded, and of course, in theatres.
