Thought leaders, intellectuals, and the wise around the world have unanimously diagnosed our way of life with a terminal illness. And the remedy is wisdom:
Wisdom that evolved into a canon of responsible codes of conduct fertilized our prosperity within nature for centuries. But many of those ideas have been erased. Could regaining this wisdom, which nurtured us for millennia, save us from the coming collapse?
To answer these questions, we must find guides capable of mining the time before we turned against nature and ourselves. With them, we will seek the path to re-engaging the inherent wisdom that led humanity to prosperity, and to our title of Homo Sapien – The Wise Being.

I'm really curious to see more about this project. I know that it's no longer in the "competition" part of cinecoup but I'd really like to know when it gets produced
Natalia N. Posted 6 months ago
I think the concept of this documentary is fantastic and I loved the quote that opened up the video. I'm just not quite sure it's something that many people would go to the theatres to watch but I do believe it should be made and played on tv and in classrooms.
Brian M. Posted 6 months ago
Looks like a very good mvie
Sean R. Posted 6 months ago
wicked, keep up the good work
Toni K. Posted 6 months ago
This is a good idea, and good message to bring to light, albeit perhaps hard one to make heard.
Lorien B. Posted 6 months ago
woah.
Judy Z. Posted 6 months ago
I think this would e an interesting documentary.
Bobby L. Posted 6 months ago
This concept is not at all cliche in my opinion. It addresses the REAL reason behind human corruption and such.
Catherine L. Posted 6 months ago
Nice, if a little too cliche.
Keith M. Posted 6 months ago
This seems really inline with my thoughts and beliefs. Good luck guys!
Joe M. Posted 6 months ago
This speaks to me.
Lauren M. Posted 6 months ago
Nice to see a documentary in the mix! Great subject matter!
Timario M. Posted 6 months ago
A good start. Im worried this film (based only on the trailer) will focus too much on the aspect of change instead of inspiring the desire to be well informed, so that positive change ends up resulting as a natural occurrence. But it's got me so far. Good luck!
Leanne R. Posted 6 months ago
yes it was rather good x
Quetzali A. Posted 6 months ago
it ok...
Bella K. Posted 6 months ago
spacology
John W. Posted 6 months ago
Not sure if this is something different than the news has been telling us for years.
Joslyn P. Posted 6 months ago
Really good work here, very interesting concept, but it might be a bit out there for this competition, good luck! :)
Rich C. Posted 6 months ago
The kind of filmmaking we need. People need to wake up to what's going on ...
Rob W. Posted 7 months ago
Amazing work.
Bill E. Posted 7 months ago
A bold, noble and necessary undertaking. Putting into words and pictures the problem at hand and presenting a case for change won't be easy. It's never easy to get beyond the current common discourse to present new ideas to fresh ears. From what I see though, you are just the ones to do it; the epitome of "Be Brave". Best of luck.
Michelle G. Posted 7 months ago
It's an interesting idea and concept. There's definitely some potential here. I'm just not sure that this is the concept I would choose to win a million.
Louise M. Posted 7 months ago
I like the contrasting imagery they use. While I wouldn't say the tone is alarmist, I didn't feel particularly hopeful about making this dramatic change. The subject matter is VERY relevant, and some key global figures are shown, so this trailer does make me expect some very solid content, however it was not as powerful as expected.
Wendy S. Posted 7 months ago
Interesting concept.
Nicole T. Posted 7 months ago
Not my style but interesting concept
Diane N. Posted 7 months ago
not my kind of movie... but great cinematography with those views
Matt D. Posted 7 months ago
would love to see more of this
terri lynn g. Posted 7 months ago
Looks like a great Flick.
George P. Posted 7 months ago
i thought this was a narrative compation
Mackenzie W. Posted 7 months ago
You have sparked my interest. In a world where it seem less and less people are thinking above the lowest common denominator, this could be a breath of fresh air.
Roger G. Posted 7 months ago
Search for wisdom.... well if you can find the answer and put it into a film that would be awesome
Margaret S. Posted 7 months ago
This looks like a very interesting movie. The effects of interviewing authorities against a postapocalyptic background is interesting. I really like Vandana Shiva so she alone would interest me in seeing this, the other people interviewed are a boon. It's really neat how the computer-writing keeps glitching and refocusing. I would like to hear a bit more about the themes being focused on because they sound really interesting, but I'm not entirely certain what they mean - I'm sure that would be developed in the movie and this trailer definitely interested me in seeing more.
Devyn B. Posted 7 months ago
This is amazing. I have woken up to 'wisdom' over the past several months and the thinking here is right alongside my own. This is the message that audiences in Canada should see (and all of the world, really). I wish you the best in producing this film and hope that I can see this film in its entirety because I am very interested in hearing more from these speakers and watching your story unfold on the big screen.
mike e. Posted 7 months ago
of all the 'documentary' films, this one seems like the one i'd be most likely to go pay to see. best of luck.
Bob C. Posted 7 months ago
Interesting premise, and love the visuals, but oddly it lacks poetry, instead being very didactic.
Warren C. Posted 7 months ago
Valuable, in fact essential message. This project should get made. I would be happy to join it. - Warren Carr, producer.
Dana B. Posted 7 months ago
Nicely produced. Would definitely watch this on a documentary channel like CBC doc zone.
Tessa M. Posted 7 months ago
I like the concept - really great CGI.
Sean M. Posted 7 months ago
While I agree with the general premise of this documentary, the writers need to avoid just repeating what everyone already understands. While the trailer was very well made and featured some interesting people, the finished documentary needs some interesting insight or a new take on the subject matter to avoid being condescending. Good luck, guys!
Carleigh B. Posted 7 months ago
very interesting concept
Agah B. Posted 7 months ago
I already love this!
Jolene K. Posted 7 months ago
very interesting
Steven H. Posted 7 months ago
I like the concept and the VFX, but the greenscreen shots just didn't sell at all and really gave the project an amateur look in my opinion...if such a focus is going to be placed on those types of shots then the lighting and compositing has to be spot on, otherwise it takes away from it rather than adds to it. Really contrasted with the other footage being displayed and felt like two different pieces being mashed together, or like it was shot for some mid 90's documentary.
Georgia M. Posted 7 months ago
I cannot agree more, people need to wake up and realize apathy is an unacceptable way of life. We cannot continue to just selfishly live in the moment, a "me only" existence and expect our world to ever get better. Thank you so much for bringing this issue to the public consciousness.
Alfredo C. Posted 7 months ago
Interesting. Would love to watch it.
Amanda C. Posted 7 months ago
This could be a good episode of the Passionate Eye
Devon D. Posted 7 months ago
I feel there is potential here but I'm also curious about Alejandro P.'s question.
Alejandro P. Posted 7 months ago
Looks good, but why do they need the million for?
Paul S. Posted 7 months ago
COuld have some potential, but trailer weak
Michelle E. Posted 7 months ago
Intriguing concept. Looking forward to seeing more.
Tracy R. Posted 7 months ago
Interesting idea. I'd like to see this. With all those people on board I can't imagine you needing cinecoup to get this made. I hope to see it done one day.
William R. Posted 7 months ago
very true.... interesting subject
Michael M. Posted 7 months ago
Interesting
Dan R. Posted 7 months ago
I really really like the concept..but I've produced documentaries and you don't need 1 million to shoot it. I say keep going with the concept and just shoot it either way.
Simon B. Posted 7 months ago
interesting topic, would like to hear more about solutions and what our civilization would look like after the revolution.
Kyle L. Posted 7 months ago
Very cool guys, contraversial. That's what we need. I would definatly like to see this film made!
Bo A. Posted 7 months ago
not for me
David A. Posted 7 months ago
Pretty cool idea. I also really like the nature overtaking city shots. Makes for a very interesting setting for which these interviews to take place. Very creative! I'd love to see this!
Matt C. Posted 7 months ago
This is certainly different; good luck to you.
Nicole L. Posted 7 months ago
Love it.
Julianne C. Posted 7 months ago
Looks very cool!
Donal O. Posted 7 months ago
I don't feel at all qualified to rate this so it gets a five. However, I wouldn't go to the cinema to see this. It has a place and could be a good movie but not for this project.
Simon B. Posted 7 months ago
interesting
Laurie D. Posted 7 months ago
Very interesting subject!
Vivian Z. Posted 7 months ago
Very inspirational and promising...
dwayne c. Posted 7 months ago

That sounds intriguing
Bo H. Posted 7 months ago
Enjoyed the trailer.
Ana M. Posted 7 months ago
This looks really interesting.
Chuck E. Posted 7 months ago
Wow. Impressive and ambitious. I love the doc aesthetic you've created, very stimulating and engaging.
Paul H. Posted 7 months ago
Cool, wonder if the doc format will hurt its chances in this?
Jared E. Posted 7 months ago
Good visuals with a timely and powerful message. Interested to see how it will be sustained over a feature length running time.
Andres V. Posted 7 months ago
Great work! :)
Wally S. Posted 7 months ago
For all the sweeping claims in this trailer, I'm left wondering what it's actually about. Over-industrialization? Environmental issues? Rampant consumerism? Western apathy? This seems alarmist, unfocused, and hardly news to anyone. For the record, I think action - rather than wisdom - would better lead to change.
Simon H. Posted 7 months ago
Not interesting
Helen M. Posted 7 months ago
Well suited for a TV documentary.Good job.
Joe F. Posted 7 months ago
great topic and it needs to be said. good job
Clayton P. Posted 7 months ago
While I like the concept, I'm kind of put off by the vagueness of it. I hope that this idea can be developed further.
Vanessa W. Posted 7 months ago
Interesting.
Lisa R. Posted 7 months ago
not for me sorry!!
Vinnie B. Posted 7 months ago
Not bad
Richard B. Posted 7 months ago
Awesome concept... distinct from the rest
Nicolas M. Posted 7 months ago
Well done guys! Looks great!
Tyler S. Posted 7 months ago
A film with meaning that is also relevant to the times. That to me is the definition of good art. I'm not a big fan of documentaries but I definitely wouldn't mind if you guys won this. Cheers!
Amy Z. Posted 7 months ago
Absolutely great. Well done!
Brent C. Posted 7 months ago
I'm very interested in these types of projects. There are similar docs out there, like The Age of Stupid. I've always wanted to make one. In my studies I focused a lot on globalization and ideology. Maybe I can be a consultant? :)
June J. Posted 7 months ago
Expected way more you guys with that cool poster!
Lena D. Posted 7 months ago
It was alright, not great
Doug B. Posted 7 months ago
Seems like an interesting and important subject to explore, I'm just thinking you aren't maximizing the aesthetic possibilities.
Douglas H. Posted 7 months ago
Interesting - though not sure how it would carry itself through 90 minutes.
Dylan S. Posted 7 months ago
Very important subject! Looks really educational and inspiring.
Stephanie K. Posted 7 months ago
Looks interesting, but doesn't every generation think that way? "We're so much more knowledgeable now, and the next thing is going to be horrible?"
Benoit C. Posted 7 months ago
Cool concept!
Siobhan G. Posted 7 months ago
Very important subject! Looks really educational and inspiring.
Gavin M. Posted 7 months ago
This looks really interesting, and I really like the choice of setting the interviews against a digital backdrop. Very cool. I'm not sure who the speakers are, but they all seem impassioned, and I'd be interested to hear more of what they had to say.
Augustine J. Posted 7 months ago
Incredible trailer, great job!
Ryan D. Posted 7 months ago
This is an extremely importnat feel that needs to be made.
Emma S. Posted 7 months ago
Very strong, good speakers. The visual effects surprisingly added instead of taking away from the message. Kudos. Good Luck.
Sue M. Posted 7 months ago
Really like the ideas being explored here.
Zach L. Posted 7 months ago
Interesting viewpoints. I hope you will avoid pop-philosophy, vague terminology, and over-reliance on imagery and maintain focus on real topics with real solutions. There are some legitimate issues raised in the trailer, but it also felt a little bit scattered and unclear.
Del L. Posted 7 months ago
Great subject!
Jonathan R. Posted 7 months ago
Interesting. Good use of graphics
Jake C. Posted 7 months ago
Craft is so important in docs, excited that you've got the whole package going for this.
Lizzy T. Posted 7 months ago
This looks great!
Daylen M. Posted 7 months ago
Like the concept for the documentary, not a super big fan of the stock shots of riots or corporate buildings.
Kiks D. Posted 7 months ago
Can't wait to see the full thing.. Good luck!!
Danielle M. Posted 7 months ago
I liked the effects. Good tag line. Best of luck with your project.
Etz B. Posted 7 months ago
Thought provoking and relevant. Would definitely check this out!
Chelsea B. Posted 7 months ago
Deep and important messages
Jason L. Posted 7 months ago
I would love to see this movie. I'm constantly searching for that next thought provoking film of the moment, and what's being talked about here is very important information the majority of people disregard.
Michael M. Posted 7 months ago
Interesting...who are these talking heads? nice filming, I want more meat though... and Sapience?..explain
Jon N. Posted 7 months ago
Great potential. Drop this memebomb!
Simon P. Posted 7 months ago
I would have liked sub titles telling us who and what the people commenting were....important message though
Danny L. Posted 7 months ago
Would like to see where they go with this
Denis J. Posted 7 months ago
i\d watch this
John K. Posted 7 months ago
Love it..
lauryn h. Posted 7 months ago

Andrej K. Posted 7 months ago
Nothing more important nowadays! I wish to see more of that.
Aaron K. Posted 7 months ago
Lots of intellectual people. Rad visual FX.
Andrew K. Posted 7 months ago
Terrific trailer, terrific subject. Really excited to see a film like this in the competition. Nice work! (Andrew Kirkwood, team 'The Reserve')
Dave J. Posted 7 months ago
I'm eagerly awaiting.
Andrew S. Posted 7 months ago
Compelling subject matter, excellent graphic work, I'm excited to see the final project!
Tyler S. Posted 7 months ago
I've always been fascinated with this idea! Gloomy!
Phil K. Posted 8 months ago
Wow this something worth funding. Years from now when society looks back at this time in history, works like this will stand out as a voice of reason.
Karin O. Posted 8 months ago
Absolutely love it! Great job :)
Ruxandra R. Posted 8 months ago
This is a really cool concept. I am very interested in seeing what else they have to say about how to deal with the ignorance in society. Cool concept, I haven't seen before.
Chado M. Posted 8 months ago
Great documentary - seemed very interesting and informative! Would alter some of the lighting/color but it looked and sounded good! Can't see myself going to see in the theatre but would definitely watch the tv show
Laura G. Posted 8 months ago
This looks fantastic, I definitely wanna see more!
Katie T. Posted 8 months ago
Love the stylish, apocalyptic backgrounds for the interviews. Would have liked to have seen more of the experimental aspects. Worthwhile project but it's tough to compare documentary to fiction. Best of luck. I hope you get it made.
Sandra L. Posted 8 months ago
Interesting concept. Am interested in learning more about your film.
Laurel L. Posted 8 months ago
Agreed. Our Spiritual growth has not matched our technological growth. We are less happy and more harried than ever and our environment is quickly becoming toxic. Wonderful concept. I hope it gets made! Best of luck to you!!
Emily H. Posted 8 months ago
This is an incredible documentary addressing an underlying crisis of our failing system. This is beautifully produced and impressive speakers. Very excited about this project!
Arsen O. Posted 8 months ago
another documentary, i understand, this is important;
Frances L. Posted 8 months ago
This is so relevant and true. It's always inspiring to hear from great thought leaders, and I'm looking forward to the completed project!
Marshall L. Posted 8 months ago
time to end the ignorance disease
Farnsworth S. Posted 8 months ago
Not for me.
Stuart P. Posted 8 months ago
This is very interesting concept and definitely makes you think about what you should do to help this world advance.
Luke S. Posted 8 months ago
Great topic. Interesting questions. The trailer format's cool, too, making what could be stiff talking heads into something thematic.
Mike L. Posted 8 months ago
I like the concept behind the story.
Ella P. Posted 8 months ago
Interesting concept. It would be interesting to see the whole documentary.
Patti D. Posted 8 months ago
Very good!
Ann K. Posted 8 months ago
Asks some tough questions - some issues that must be addressed. Apathy kills.
Björn H. Posted 8 months ago
I like the message and the trailer. Just not sure about the rioting footage being shown while talking about needing to revolt. The editing makes it seem violence is needed to make a change and I hope that is not what your film intends to advocate.
Pietro G. Posted 8 months ago
The trailer is intensely thought-provoking. Can't wait to see the full film!
Katelynn D. Posted 8 months ago
didn't hold my attention. needs a better hook.
Danielle A. Posted 8 months ago
Very important subject. Needs to get done.
Joelle W. Posted 8 months ago
Looking forward to seeing this one!
Shane S. Posted 8 months ago
I love documentaries that are breaking the mold of the simple talking head in front of the back drop I'm pretty sure they used for my junior prom photos. Case in point, "The Imposter" (amazing). And the world you put them in is great and intresting and I'm sure very much so, a part of the topic you are discussing, to you. The only real critique I have, right now as it is presented, the subject of your documentary is too vague. Wisdom is what we should gain from your documentary not be the focal point. Because with it you can talk about any ignorance in any field and if you're trying to cover it all then you need several month on the History/Discovery/TLC/National Geographic/Every network in existance, to cover the whole spectrum of ignorance going on in the society we made for ourselves and that's gonna take more than $1 million dollars. Every documentary deals with the ignorance of our society, whether it is with the enviroment or politics or economics. So to say you are making a documantary that seems to covering all of these things and more, about ignorance and wisdom being the remedy, I have to ask, "What is you documentary about?"
Sean Michael T. Posted 8 months ago
great guests and well done
Holly F. Posted 8 months ago
Kudos. This is miles ahead of what most of the films here are offering viewers. Thank you.
Andrew I. Posted 8 months ago
This looks really good! A bit vague, and not enough of a hook for me personally, but I love the effects and the last scene of the dead/overgrown city was incredibly detailed!
Greg R. Posted 8 months ago
saw this movie and those people on 6 different documentaries on netflix already....which means it's a decent topic, but been done
Vivian G. Posted 8 months ago
This topic is not only timely, but ever so important for our time. With global warming, poverty, water shortages, the erosion of our coastlines, destruction of our reefs, and destruction of our forests... It's important to bring these issues to the surface and to discuss alternative ways to live and to prosper. To realign with nature before it's too late.
Jared S. Posted 8 months ago
This looks beautiful and informative. I would love this to be seen to a full length film
Matt K. Posted 8 months ago
Very timely and important topic. Ensure the visuals match the content.
Brad D. Posted 8 months ago
Lighting! Lighting lighting lighting. Consistency of lighting. I don't know that I really like the green screen background. I feel like it's distracting from what's being said. Also you have a fade out and you see the woman disappear before the background does. I guess I'm interested, but I don't get the specific angle this doc is showing us that's different from what's been done before.
Alyssa H. Posted 8 months ago
I am excited to see it. It seems like something that needs to be heard.
Chris V. Posted 8 months ago
The team behind this is very qualified and I want to see them having the oportunity to get this proyect done and spread out ideas/realisations that are of so much importante nowadays. They have done a marvelous work on a-few-min pieces, I can only imagine what they'd be able to do with a full-length film.
Rob W. Posted 8 months ago
This film is desperately needed in our day and age, cannot wait for it.
Dw M. Posted 8 months ago
sure it's a doc, interesting.... ok, but not what I'd like to see..... it's well done, though,
Seth C. Posted 8 months ago
How did you get John Perkins?
Mary R. Posted 8 months ago
Thought provoking.
Steve O. Posted 8 months ago
The subject matter is enough to draw some viewers right away but I also like the Look, and the way they integrated graphics.
Debs P. Posted 8 months ago
Very challenging; loved the animation.
Dave H. Posted 8 months ago
this is really interesting; would love to see more.
ed l. Posted 8 months ago

Jamie B. Posted 8 months ago
very intriguing
ALAIN-REMI L. Posted 8 months ago
Very important topic. Needs to be seen.
Tyler S. Posted 8 months ago
For a documentary this has a very unique style paired with a message that needs to be shared.
Brendan R. Posted 8 months ago
I like your trailer but I feel like your synopsis sounds a bit pretentious and new-age-y.
