Overview

Synopsis

Overlooked for mentorship in favor of his nemesis, ambitious film student Chase tries to work his way into the elite inner circle of his film program, but discovers it to be a treacherous front to a back-room pornography ring run by his premier professor and mentor. He sacrifices his morals and virtue to unseat his nemesis and join the ring as the professor's protege, only to suffer the same fate as his predecessor, being discarded in an industry wrought with over-consumption and exploitation.

I was raised on Saltspring Island by an incredible family, then moved to Vancouver, at 19, to attend various acting schools; during which time I made short comedy films with friends. Eventually I enrolled at Capilano to turn my hobby into a career.

Honestly and personally it was very hard for me to bring myself to watch this, I try to steer clear from this kind of thing if at all possible. The actors need improvement and I personally would not watch this :(

That opening speech was an interesting concept to begin the film/trailer. I've got to admit, though, all the acheiver-y jargon about success and junk and owing it to yourself, etc., not only didn't interest me, it turned me off the main character. And, not a whole lot of intensity going on; or at least not enough for me to care. I see you have an accomplished older actor and can shoot smoke well (on the whole, the video was very well shot). I'm not really sure what that was about, though. Right now, I see that there's this guy spouting off cliches about accomplishment in a somewhat underwhelming way, and then it turns out he's talking about porn. The film is one boring soulless guy getting mildly amped about making porn? Is that the struggle? And then the world-weary porn actor buys into it? Also, there's an older person who looks fancy and can act well. He seems to be in charge of something. That's all I can see. I'm not sure what the human element is, or why I should care about this film.

The delivery of the opening monologue seemed very scripted, but this movie definitely looks interesting. Id watch it!

Yikes, did not enjoy the sound effects leading down the hall. Conceptually could hold promise for a limited audience though

Where is the story? Why are these people making porn? Out of love for porn, or out of desperation?Why was the male porn actor's face covered? I feel like this trailer showed me nothing.

The premise is interesting and piqued my interest not just because of the title! However, not sure how this will play out for a feature length film. Trailers often reveal too much or too little...this was a victim of the latter and couldn't keep the interest

I see what you're going for here and I love porn as much as the next person but I'm just hoping that there will be a lot of depth to the characters and not just sex for sex's sake (cause that's all over the internet anyways). Watch the doc "There is No Sexual Rapport" if you haven't yet, it's brilliant, good for research.

This trailer doesn't show me enough to make me believe that there is actually a story already thought out for the film. It feels like a general idea was thought up and then a very broad trailer was made to convey a very wide-reaching concept.

Need to know where it's going -- towards sleaze or smart. Great shot, but beyond that what's it about? Who is this guy? Needed more to be explored even though it's just a trailer -- needed a hint at the guy's aspirations. Is he just a good liar?

I get the storyline that you're trying to go for.but in my honest opinion I don't think a picture like this would be able to stand without a star or 2 (at least) backing it as the leads. Also not the greatest acting/editing in the trailer but passable

I find this film to be paradoxical. On the one hand it claims to have the risque atmosphere of porn, but at the same time it talks about the film education we have learned throughout our lives. This is an interesting perspective, but is the film about going to porn school? Or is it about taking what we learned in school and applying it to the porn industry? It's not clear from the trailer. Sure, you don't want to give everything away in the trailer, but I think an audience needs more to go on that what is provided.

Some great shots and ideas here. Would really like to see this developed into a feature with a real budget. Unique stories are lacking in most trailers that are "trending" on the site right now. Without a doubt, this should be dominating the competition.

Wish that wonderfully long hallway shot was more interesting, felt completely out of place and unimportant. Some nice cinematography elements but how could you go with that horrendous title, it's so poorly designed. You guys need to engage the audience more - I get the whole 'leave us wanting more' motif, but you have to leave us wanting something, anything, in the first place...
